Information please

Click here to see a closed ebay auction for a Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle snowglobe with a plain wooden base that sold for $181.39! One of the pictures in the auction shows a label that makes it appear the globe is limited edition but the picture is fuzzy and hard to decipher. Looks like only 3 digits in the edition size. If anyone has any further information about this globe and why it is apparently so desirable, please leave a comment and clue me in. Thanks.

Steamboat Willie

This globe recently appeared on DisneyShopping.com and good news. It looks to be one that was created especially for the website, since like others in the past, the first 500 come with a limited edition pin. Hopefully that means we will continue to see new globes on the web as well as those offered from the Disney Store. I really like this globe. It has a nice selection of characters without trying to cram every single character they can onto it. If I had to nitpick it would be that Steamboat Willie should be black and white.

Tinker Bell

This Disney Store snowglobe popped up on DisneyShopping today and I hope it looks better in person then it does in this picture. The description says this recreates a classic scene from Peter Pan but I don't remember it looking like this. 79.50 is the cost. The globe lights. The inkwell is a trinket box.

Kim Possible

During my ebay research today, I came across a closed auction for what I suspect is the only Kim Possible snowglobe. I vaguely remember seeing this either in a catalog or on the Disney website when it was first available. It sold for $125.15 including the shipping charges which I thought was an astonishing amount for this particular globe. However it may be quite rare as I don't recall it being available for very long and this is the first one I've seen so far on ebay.

Beauty and the Beast - Broadway Snowglobe

This has probably been available on the Disney site for awhile but I just found it today because it doesn't show up under the snowglobe section of the website. In fact there are currently three globes that don't show up when you go the snowglobe section. This one, the Precious Moments and the Snow White one that were pictured in the two previous posts. Apparently if you want to see all the snowglobes available you have to type snowglobe into the search box. Anyway, this globe is for the Beauty and the Beast broadway musical and costs 19.99.

Precious Moments Disney Snowglobe

Remember those Precious Moments Disney snowglobes I talked about in a previous post? Turns out this one is available on DisneyShopping.com

Disney Store Snowglobes arrive on DisneyShopping.com

Over the past couple of days, Disney Snowglobes from the Disney Store have been appearing on DisneyShopping.com. The Rescuers 30th Anniversary globe is my favorite.

Here we go again

Another one of those Mary Poppins snowglobes have made their way on to ebay. If your wondering why we care, read through the earlier posts. It is up to 227.50 with almost 6 days to go.

Disney's Enchanted

Mouskavision is now showing the trailer for Enchanted, Disney's movie this fall that is partially traditionally animated. Looks good, but enough with the product placement allready.

Question

Perhaps someone out there can help me out with an answer to this question. Does this snowglobe from Disneyland's 45th Anniversary play music? I had a song written down in my preliminary info but now have come across it in the Disney Catalogs and it does not say it plays music in the listings. The preliminary info comes from ebay listings so it is always suspect, but I'm not sure how complete the info always is in the Disney Catalog either. If someone could answer this question so I can finalize the book entry for this globe it would be much appreciated.

Hooray for Hollywood

It's no secret that I feel the Disney-MGM Studios theme park is a pale imitation of what it used to be. I think it was much more interesting when it was an active studio and you really didn't know what star you might see every time you went. The recently announced name change to Disney- Hollywood Studios reminded me of what it used to be like which inspired me to look through YouTube to try and find some video of the studios of yesterday. What I found is the entire Grand Opening Special from 1989 hosted by John Ritter with an unbelievable line up of stars taking part. Double clicking on the mouskavision picture should take you to the video at YouTube. If you do that instead of watching it here on my blog you should easily be able to continue to watch the entire special instead of just the opening number with Smokey Robinson. Enjoy.

M&M's Disney Snowglobe

While going through the completed E-Bay listings today, I found this globe. I've occasionally seen M&M collectibles at WDW but never anything as elaborate as this. A few minutes of research reveals that there is a chain of stores called M&M World that carry nothing but merchandise devoted to the little chocolate candies. The snowglobe seen above is a limited edition of 2000 and can be ordered here. It costs $65.00. The one on E-Bay sold for $48.43 which included the shipping charge. There are apparently some figurines based on Dead Man's Chest as well.

Julie Andrews performance

I was wondering what Disney vids I could use for Mouskavision and remembered seeing this awhile back. It is taken from A Julie Andrews variety show and this clip has Julie Andrews teaming up with Mary Poppins and Eliza Doolittle for a wonderful performance. Just click on the Moskavision segment in the right column and the video will play at the top of the blog.

Mary Poppins Auction Watch continues

It seems I forgot to post what the final values on the St Paul Cathedral snowglobes were. One sold for $338.22 and the other for $397.00. There is another one currently up that concludes in 1 day and 44 minutes. It has reached $305.00 so far.
