Disney Christmas Ornaments Arrive

DisneyStore.com has posted a preview of some of things available for this holiday season.  Some of the ornaments are pretty cool!

At 2 for $16 you cant go wrong with the price.  Lots of other choices.  These are just my favorites.  Now lets talk about that last one.  Anything Mickey Mouse Club gets my attention right away.  But black and white?  Seriously?  Who wants a black and white Christmas ornament?

New Disney Snowglobes at DisneyStore.com

Nice!

New Disney Pins I like

Here are a few of the pins I like that will be released at WDW during september.  Many of the releases are simple 1 character pins priced at 6.95 and I can't tell you how glad I am that somebody in merchandise finally seems to understand that there needs to be some less expensive items as an entry point to collecting if they expect the merchandise bonanza to continue.  Good designs with a reasonalble price.  It really is that simple.

Mickey Mouse Club snowglobe - ebay alert

This Mickey Mouse Club snowglobe sold for about $335 on ebay. This has always been a favorite globe in my personal collection and I've always been shocked that it never seemed to sell for very much when offered. Now I'm shocked that it sold for so much! I've never seen it even come close to $100 before.

My recent purchase

A bad picture of 3 very nice Disney snowglobes. I recently purchased these three from a collector wanting to downsize their collection because like the rest of us they are out of room. They didn't want to sell them on ebay because they felt they would have to practically give them away. I tried assuring them that would not be the case with these three but was ignored. I paid $140 for all three and I think I got a good deal.
On the bottom of the Mickey Mouse Club is a space for an on/off switch that is not there. The actual on/off switch is on the side of one of the scenes. I only mention it so if you buy one second hand you dont freak out and think the on/off switch is missing. Like I did.
And in case your wondering that thing in the back right of the picture is a cookie jar.

Book Entry - Mickey Mouse Club

And so I present a sample entry from my book in progress.
Picture from The Disney Catalog.
Mickey wears his costumes from each day of the show atop this pair of mouse ears. Donald is ready to strike the gong on the back.
Lights: Mickey Mouse Club logo.
Music: “Mickey Mouse March”
Size: 7 ½”H.
Source: Disney Catalog.
ORP: 78.50 (2002)

All the information listed here is taken from The Disney Catalog. I need to add to the listing what type of snow is in the globes and the final book will have pricing information telling a price range that has been realized on ebay. For example the period of time that I tracked it for in 2007 saw it sell in the 49.34-71.00 range with those two prices being the actual lowest and highest prices sold.

This is one of my faavorite snowglobes of all time and I'm surprised the ebay prices haven't been higher then that.
