Disney Comics Future

Here's some cover art for comic books that will be published by Boom Studios. These should be in stores in approximately 3 months. The first issue of the new Mickey series featuring a fantasy serial went on sale this week. There is a 14 page preview here.

More Sneak Peeks

Velvet has uncovered some more sneak peeks to what will be availalble on DisneyStore.com. The Donald Duck appears to have Chip & Dale popping out of a toaster. Nice gag. Congratulations to the designer. The Belle cup appears to be the same one that has previously been available but seen from the other side. It appears Disney Stores will have a new line of cups with a different cup design then the previous series.

Robin Hood and Wall-E available in Europe

The Robin Hood and Wall-E snowglobes are now available at the Disney Store UK website which most likely means they are now available in Disney Stores throughout Europe.

Bambi & Wall-E Snowglobes Arrive

These Bambi & Wall-E snowglobes were sneak peeked back in june and july and are now available at DisneyShopping.com.

Sneak Peek - Wall-E Snowglobe

Coming soon to DisneyShopping.com is this Wall-E snowglobe. I'm afraid I don't like the design very much but maybe it looks better in person. They often do.

Wall-E Gacha Figures

I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Tomy Gacha machines. They are a vending machine that you can get a capsule toy out of. They are very much like a bubble gum machine except they cost a $1 per item and the items are licensed characters merchandise that can be highly collectible. There are two of the machines with a total of 8 selections at Disney-Hollywood Studios and I have seen the machines at malls and shopping centers occasionally. Also in some resorts around town. Orange Lake used to have some but I think they were removed when the resort changed the company that supplies its arcade games.
Anyway I came across these Wall-E figures that should be available shortly and thought I'd give a heads up to anyone collection Wall-E stuff. The bases of the different figures connect as shown in the picture.

Wall-E

I got to see Wall-E last night. Wonderful movie and Presto, the cartoon short was great too. I'm currently working in the Magic Kingdom arcade in tomorrowland, trying to repair and clean up years of neglect. Merchandise has taken over about a third of what the arcade used to be where Space Mountan empties into the room. Now you would think, that the exit of Space Mountain would be a grand place to see Wall-E merchandise but there isn't any to be found. In fact, there isn't any space themed stuff at all. Candy, High School Musical , Camp Rock and that girl from Montana are almost the entire contents of the shop. I mentioned this to one of the cast memebers this morning and was told that there is 0 wall-e merchandise in the warehouse and that it has been like that since the movie opened. Seems, whoever does the buying didn't want to take a chance. Or, at least, that's what I was told. Didn't want to take a chance? On a Pixar movie? Obviously, that person should not have any purchasing power at all.

Wall-E Snowdome

The first Wall-E snowglobe has arrived! Unfortunately, it's a snowdome sipper cup. If they made these things just as snowdomes I would want them all. Picture is from the first one to show up on ebay. It sold for over $15.
