New Fab 5 & Aristocats Snowglobes

These two new deluxe snowglobes have appeared on the DisneyStore UK website. The Aristocats snowglobe is the best looking Aristocats globe I've seen. Does anyone know if the Fab5 snowglobe is based on a cartoon or not? It looks like it may be but nothing comes to mind. If anyone can get better pics of the UK globes, please share. These little thumbnails from the UK site aren't very clear.

Three New Mickey Mouse Snowglobes

The following appeared on DisneyShopping.com today. Two we sneak peeked but the other we haven't seen before. There is more to the Paris report but it will have to wait until tomorrow for part 3.
Mickey's 80th birthday globe is revealed to be a limited edition of 1200.
The graduation globe turns out to be a snowglobe that can be personalized. Neat. The Fishing snowglobe is nice but would have been better if they had put Nemo characters in the globe. It also can be personalized.

New England Collectors Society

I'm curently looking for information on the New England Collectors Society. I am aware that they produced 2 series of limited edition snowglobes that were available through some sort of mail order subscription. The first series were of various characters and show up on ebay on a regular basis. A slightly rarer series seems to be a monthly holiday series. The above picture was taken from a recently closed ebay auction that indicates there was more snowglobes produced then just those 2 series. I am also aware of a Mickey on a carousel horse snowglobe that they produced.
Research on the internet has revealed very little additional information. They apparently produced other collectibles besides snowglobes. I've found spoons and figures that may be salt and pepper shakers. It appears that they also produced items using the Looney Tunes characters.
The claim is that this company created the first Disney snowglobes designed for collectors and the first limited editions.
If anyone has any further information about this company, such as when they ceased operations and what other types of items they produced, please share it by leaving a comment.

DisneyShopping Sneak Peeks

Velvet left a comment on the 101 Dalmations post that taught me how to discover pictures on the DisneyShopping site that are not shown in the products for sale. The snowglobe pics I discovered fell into 3 distinct categories.
The first are globes that have appeared allready in the UK but they show us a clearer picture. I'm not positive that these will appear on the US website, only time will tell. A couple of these are listed as limited editions of 2000 in the UK, so it seems odd that they would be available here as well.

The 2nd Category are globes that we've seen before. These are perhaps globes that Disney is getting to rerelease as we have seen with other globes of the past recently.

The Third category is, of course, globes that I've never seen before so I assume they are upcoming globes. All of this information is pure conjecture on my part and I don't know if these will actually be released or not but I can't think of any other reason they would have pictures of them. Many thanks to Velvet for posting. Her one post has given me a few days worth of material for this blog and probably many more as I will now have to play detective and try to find out what future releases DisneyShopping has in store.
