Are You 23?

Still awhile to go before the big reveal for Disney's "Are You 23?" campaign. Most people think seem to think it's some sort of merchandise club. The folks at WDW News Today seem to think so and have gotten their hands on these two images which seem to support that theory.

Tink snowdomes?

These are currently on ebay and I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge about them. The person selling them says they are from the fifties or sixties and they are only about 2 1/2" tall. I'm curious if they are real or not. The globe shape seems odd for that time period to me and I've never heard of or seen these before.
That doesn't mean they are fakes. It just means I don't know about them. Anyone care to enlighten me? I want to bid on one if I can confirm they are real.

I could have been killed!

So, I'm on my way home from work this evening when some moron pulls out into the intersection in front of me as I'm going through it. My 3 year old truck is a wreck and I was lucky enough to escape with minor scrapes and burns from the airbag deployment. Luckily the moron was ok also. I can't believe how many idiots there are driving around central florida who have absolutely no business being behind the wheel of a vehicle.
Luckily I have 3 days off work starting tomorrow so I'll have time to deal with the situation without losing any time off of work.
AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!

New Disney Line of Character Busts

While searching through the picture files on DisneyShopping.com I came across this line of character busts. They don't appear to be available for purchase yet. Wow! These are cool!

Looking elsewhere on the net turns up the info that these are made of polystone and are done by Enesco. Sideshow Collectibles has them listed as limited editons of 1000 for $79.95. They are around 8" H.

Precious Moments Finds Nemo

Precious Moments has added yet another snowglobe to their line. This time Finding Nemo takes the spotlight.

A new blue/pink Snowglobe set from Disney UK

The DisneyStore UK site has introduced this new pink and blue Winnie the Pooh set. Seems like they issue quite a few of these designed to be gifts for newborns. These are more interesting then most because of the figurine of a cart being pulled by Lumpy & Tigger instead of just a normal snowglobe.

no snowdomes today

I decided against purchasing the new snowdomes so no new pics today. The other sides really aren't all that interesting. These appear to havce been made by Postcard Factory since the overall design is the same as their line. I hope the theme parks continue to do snowdomes as well as the glass snowglobes in various sizes but I'd much prefer a figural scene inside the dome. It would be nice to see ones done for events and holidays too.

New snowdomes at WDW

Found these 2 snowdomes at WDW today. It was a quick stop in a giftshop on my way home after work and I didn't think to take pics of both sides of the domes. I'll probably buy them tomorrow and then will get better pics.

Ariel's First Snowglobe?

This Little Mermaid snowglobe closed on ebay recently. I'd seen one of these on there before but wasn't quite sure if it was a Disney item or not. This recent auction reveals it was made by applause which would seem to indicate it was real. Applause is mostly known for ceramic mugs and plastic items like keychains and pvc figures. I don't recall ever hearing of them making snowglobes. I believe this is probably a real Disney licensed item and if it is, it is almost certainly the very first little mermaid snowglobe.

Mickey & Minnie Love Snowglobe

This snowglobe is available on DisneyShopping.com. The description reveals it was designed by the Disneyland Paris Resort so I'm assuming it's available there as well.

New Fab 5 and Tinker Bell Snowglobe

New Nightmare Snowglobe

Nightmare Before Christmas collector, Magikman writes in to let us know about this snowglobe that just popped up on ebay. Looks like it is a parks exclusive. I haven't run across it yet but it appears to be around 6" high and cost about $45.

Disney Snowglobe Superballs

Velvet, our friendly neighborhood Little Mermaid collector and Sneak Peeker Extraoridinaire has checked in to let us know she found this snowglobe superball at a Disney Store. We've mentioned these before as being available in Europe and I saw similar non-Disney ones around Christmas time here in the USA, but this is the first sighting of Disney ones in the US. Velvet reports that besides Ariel, they had Cars, Cinderella and Buzz Lightyear for $3.50 each.
These are not hard superballs with a figure encased in the rubber. They actually have liquid inside with the figure and glitter and operate just like a snowglobe except they are also a superball.
THANKS VELVET!
