Limited Edition Disney Princess Wishing Well Figurines

Here's a series of figurines that have been around for a few months at the parks.  I've been meaning to feature them here but never seemed to have my camera with me whenever I spotted them.  Each one is limited to 750 and priced at $75.  They are now available at DisneyStore.com.  These are much nicer in person then they appear in these pictures.

2009 JCPenney Disney Snowglobe

Here's a better look at this year's JCPenney giveaway snowglobe.

New D23 button series

The D23 team sure loves buttons.  The latest promotional series is pictured here.  If only they would gibve them out in florida so I could get some.

Disney Parks makes more snowglobes availalbe online

The Disney Parks section of DisneyStore.com recently added these to the selection available for purchase on the internet.

Disney Astronauts

Medicom toys has these two new vinyl figures coming that are now available for preorder.  Price is 99.99 each!  If someone would mass produce figures like this at a reasonable cost for the theme parks they would probably sell like crazy. Alas were stuck with vinylmation.
When did vinyl figures go from being throw away kids toys to outrageously expensive collectibles anyway?

D-Street opens December 15th

Opening in the Downtown Disney® District at Disneyland

December 15, 2009

A place where urban art inspired product "intersects" with a Disney creative edge. This raw, unfinished industrial style space will showcase a mix of Disney inspired art created by local and underground artists. Also up for grabs is cutting edge apparel, pop culture novelties, vinyl figures, collectibles and more.

D Street will feature Disney vintage looks from Disney Couture, urban styles and artwork from Bloc 28, Surf and Skate inspired apparel, artwork and accessories, as well as Star WarsTM tees. Also available at this new hot spot are some of the latest offerings from jewelry designers such as Tarina Tarantino and Classic Hardware as well as fashions from labels like Mighty Fine and Harajuku Lovers. The location will also be home to the work of one of Southern California's local Artists, Noah. Noah draws his inspiration from his love of Disney as well as his love of the forgotten era that we tend to cling to, which includes old movies, classic cars and rockabilly style Kustom Kulture.

This new urban-style location will also pave the way for everything VinylmationTM. Considered one of the flagship stores for Vinylmation figures, D Street will showcase the latest releases from the various collections, including the Park Series, Urban Series, Holiday Series and more. Designed by the creative talents from our Disney Design Group, Disney Vinylmation takes on a whole new meaning in the world of collectibles. These 3" and 9" figures are often designed to represent icons, attractions and characters from Disney Parks & Resorts or have more of street feel with their urban-inspired looks.

So be sure to hit the "street" and see what's in store for you!

Found this lamp on a japanese site.  I want one.

Surprise Pin released at California Adventure

This unannounced pin was released at Disney's California Adventure today.  It's a limited edition of 500.  Personally, I think they should do this on a regular basis.  One surprise pin a week released at an undisclosed location with the florida and california properties alteranating weeks.

New Haunted Mansion Merchandise

Available at Disneyland is this new Haunted Mansion snowglobe and below is one example of a new line of Haunted Mansion action figures that should be available on both coasts.  More affordable then the deluxe figures that they had a couple years ago.  The Hitchiking Ghosts and the Bride have also been spotted.  Hope to have more pics and details soon.

Space Mountain reopens sort of

Space Mountain begain it's public testing / soft opening phase today so if you want to be among the first to experience the refurbished version come on down!  It is not open all the time so it is currently hit or miss.
The gift shop and arcade have also reopened though both still have some work that needs doing.  Not all of the games are operational but we did manage to get most of them working.  Some of the new games they will be receiving haven't arrived yet as well.  The new layout for the game room area is great and much more inviting then it used to be.
The gift shop I'm extremely disappointed in.  They seem to think the proper merchandise for the exit of Space Mountain is that of a trendy fashion boutique.  They did have one Space Mountain shirt that hadn't made it out to the floor yet when I left the location at 10:30am so at least they have one thing that says Space Mountain on it.  They also had Pirates of the Carribean hats.  Yes you read it right.
Someone in merchandise obviously hasn't a clue and may even need psychiatric help!

New Disney Cruise Line Snowglobe

A different closed ebay auction reveals this new snowglobe from the Disney Cruise Line.

Pixar Lamp Update

The lamp figurine pictured in the previous post is indeed available at Walt Disney World.  Unfortunately the only one on display at the Emporium was broken with no price tag so I don't have much info to share at the moment.  It is not musical.  It does not light up.  It has no special features.  It is mainly a figurine with two small snowglobes on it.
It is cool, though.  Just wondering what the price point is.

Pixar Snowglobe alert

Just spotted this in a closed ebay auction.  Seller was in florida, so I will be looking around WDW tomorrow trying to find one.  Last I knew it was against the "rules" to have the Pixar characters intermingle on merchandise like this as each film is supposed to be it's own world.

I Hate Vinylmation

As you know, I dislike Mickey Monsters and Vinylmation.  All the wonderful things that Disney artists could create and Disney has them make this junk.  However, I would be remiss in my Disneyana reporting duties if I did not mention that Disney has opened an official website for Vinylmation.

Hmmm, Actually that one looks kind of neat.

A Progress Report

Scheduled posts for the snowglobe collectors guide today and those posts bring me up to over 2100 snowglobe entries.  There is an estimated 450-500 to go before I'm caught up.  No way I can make it by the end of the year but definitely should make it by the end of 2010 so values won't start being tracked until then.

Meanwhile many thanks to the few who have taken the time to provide better info for some of the entries.  There is no way I can possibly provide info on everything personally.  Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

And yes, I did start yet another blog.   This is one that I won't be all that serious about until The snowglobe guide is caught up, the posts I'm doing there are easy and quick because at the moment it's just cut and paste from DisneyStore.com to make sure I capture this years information.
http://disneychristmas.blogspot.com/

I've managed to snag some overtime tomorrow and Thanksgiving week so that will go a long way in making sure my roof gets fixed and we get to have a bit of Christmas at my house.  Hope I can grab some more.  Rumor is that we may be finally going back to 4 day workweeks without losing hours and that would be fantastic.  Finally some good news at work for a change.

Free Disney Pin with $75 gift card purchase

Available at Disneyland and Walt Disney World.  If your in the parks your going to spend $75 anyway so why not get a free pin?
