After much deliberation the last few days, I've decided that it will be pretty much impossible to create the book I originally wanted to create. I wanted the book to be the ultimate guidebook to Disney snowglobes with information on each snowglobe and a clear, decent sized picture for identification purposes as well as making the book fun to glance through. However, as I've mentioned before, there are literally thousands of Disney snowglobes and even if I could manage to put together the information and pictures needed, the sheer size of the book would stop it from being published. To make the book a manageable size, the pics would have to be tiny and that's not the book I wanted to create.
So, what to do? I've put a lot of effort into this project and dont want to see it go to waste.
I'm happy to announce the start of THE DISNEY SNOWGLOBE COLLECTORS GUIDE.
I've started another blog here on blogspot that will contain the information I have and I will continue to add to it. It's the same project as before, but instead of a book it will be a searchable database. The best part is you won't have to wait, the blog is live right now and I'll be posting an entry for at least one snowglobe a day. Starting in 2009, I will begin tracking prices on ebay again and that information will also become available with periodic pricing updates for all entries.
This blog will also still be current with the latest releases and finds. The new blog entries will all be database entries. If you see mistakes or can fill in the blanks on some of the information, please do so by leaving a comment for the appropriate globe.
I'm starting with the plastic snowdomes which were the first section of my manuscript. I'd like to thank Hank Millett for providing most of the pictures I'll be posting in the coming weeks.
And now the moment you've all been waiting for.... The Link:

COOOOOL!!!
It's a pitty you won't publish the book as you planned. Thanks for sharing all the information you have collected with us. I'm sure The Disney Snowglobe Collector's Guide will be of great value for us.
Once again, thanks for all your effort and dedication to keep posting almost everyday.
A big Brazilian hug!
