As you probably have noticed, Juan Ortiz' excellent blog "The Disney Store Shelves" seems to have vanished. I don't know what happened but am guessing that Juan was either told to stop it or stopped it voluntarily rather then deal with the hassle of company censorship.
If that is the case, it's a shame. In my opinion Disney should do blogs like his for all the different merchandise locations. One for the Disney Stores, one for Disneyand resort, one for Walt Disney World etc. Wouldn't it be great to have a blog done by whoever heads WDW merchandise showing whats coming up or whats new that is being put out?
Personally, I know I won't be making any trips to the Disney Store without knowing what is available. It's way to much hassle to make the trip not knowing if I'll find anything worthwhile or not.
Juan, if your reading this, we miss you allready. Maybe you could blog without using pictures? It wouldn't be as good but it would be better then nothing.

I totally agree with you. Even more if there aren't any Disney stores in the country, as it is my case. I miss the blog already and it's a pitty. I really liked to see the creation processes, the several sketches, and the updated merchandising, besides his comments. If Walt Disney himself was alive, he would take the advantage of the Web to promote the company as much as he did with the television 50 years ago. Don't you agree with me?
I do agree. And wouldn't a personal blog by Walt Disney have been a joy to read? I'd love to see the Disney websites turn into a much more personal place to visit with blogs by the people in charge of various aspects of the company. They would have to watch what they say and when they say it, of course, but what a grat promotional tool it would be.
