DisneyShopping.com - New Globes

DisneyShopping.com has added 15 new globes to their selection. Most are recreations of past globes. I wonder if there is anyway to tell the difference between the old and the new ones. A few are the sipper tumblers from the Disney Store. The last 2 pictures are 2 different sides of the same globe.

Hi! I was just looking for the difference between the old and the new ones. I focused on the Disney Paris Snowglobe. Look at this site and check for the 3 differences:

If I'm looking at the correct globe on the Neverland site it is a completely different globe. The Neverland site says it is from Disneyland but that is obviously the Walt Disney World castle. So that's obviously the first difference. It's another example of them making the same globe for different parks by changing the castle. The Paris globe has no Tinker Bell on the top and the only other difference I can see is that the cobblestones on the WDW version appear to be much more defined but that could just be the pictures.

The "Disneyland Paris Storybook Snowglobe" at Disneyshopping.com is actually called "Character Explosion Snowglobe" in "Multiple Characters" at the Neverland site. Take a look.
They have very few differences. One of them is the castle inside.

Yes, that's the one I was looking at. The one on the Neverland site is one from either Disneyland or WDW and the Disneyland Paris version isn't supposed to be an exact duplicate. The main diffeence is the castle. It's always fun to see what gets changed. What I was wondering is if there is any way to tell the difference between the globes that appear to be exact recreations of the old catalog globes. I notice the measurements don't exactly match the old catalog descriptions but there is usually only about a quarter of an inch difference. I guess if the snowglobes have stickers on the bottom, one could tell the difference that way since Disney Shopping didn't use to exist when the originals were made.

The one from Neverland doesn't have Pinocchio and Tinker Bell on the top, as the one from Disneyshopping.com
Did you notice that?

I missed Pinocchio. However, I checked my reference pics that I have gotten off ebay in the past year and the picture I have of the globe on the Neverland site has the Pinocchio. I can only assume that it was broken off on the one that was photographed for the Neverland site.
