Disney Snowglobe novelties

I visited Animal Kingdom today and while strolling through the shops found this toothbrush. It has a tiny Buzz Lightyear inside the handle that flashes and all that green stuff is glitter inside the snowglobe handle. Couldn't find any other new snowglobes to report.

When I got home, I found I had an email from Maurice, seems he discovered some bouncing ball snowglobes in a shop in the Netherlands. They had Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Pooh, Piglet and Tigger. The ball is made of rubber and bounces like a regular ball and the glitter floats like a regular snowglobe and is color themed to the character. They cost 2.5 euros and I want one to drive my cat crazy. I'll have to look around the toy shops at Disney and see if they have them or something similar.

Disney Cruise Ship Visit

I've never been on a Disney Cruise but I have been on both the Magic and the Wonder many many times because I used to take care of the game arcades. I had to go onboard the Magic this past saturday and it is the first time I've been on either ship in several years. Unfortunately everything is closed while I'm on board so I can't check the gift shop for snowglobes.

The reason a team of us went out this week instead of just the regular guy who usually takes care of the games now was to straighten out some of the wiring that runs behind the games and get rid of the tangled balls of cable they had become. We had to pull the games out from the wall so we could get behind them and at some point I came out from behind them with this stuck in the bottom of my shoe.

Limited Edition pin of only 500.
Then just as we were getting ready to leave I stepped on something in the middle of the room and it was a rubber pinback.
I guess four-leaf clovers really are lucky.
As you probably guessed, I have no snowglobe news today. I've finished posting my pictures of the Block Party Bash on my photo blog. 54 pictures in all.

Disneyland Paris Report part 4

The 4th and final installment of our Disneyland Paris report. Thanks again to Maurice for all he did.

Jack Skellington is part of a 7 globe series that I remember being available online here in the states. It's been awhile since it was available here but it can still be obtained in Paris for 50 euros.
I saw one of these Little Mermaid globes sell on ebay in 2007 but really have no other info. It costs 12.90 euros.
Again, I saw it on ebay in 2007 but had no information until now. 6.90 euros.
I knew of 81 different Little Mermaid snowglobes. Now I know of 82. 6.90 euros.
Never saw this one either. Design obviously copied from the first Snow White Disney Catalog snowglobe but the figure and house are different. And also the price of 6.90 euros reveals it is a miniature snowglobe.
Never saw this Cinderella one before. 6.90 euros.
This group ship snowglobe I've seen on ebay several times. I know it has a blower and plays "A Whole New World". 75 euros.
Never saw this Minnie Mouse snowglobe before. 29.90 euros.
And that concludes our first tour of Disneyland Paris snowglobes.
Interesting that so many are ones that used to be available here is the USA and yet they also seem to have ones that are exclusive. There were more that Maurice didn't have time to take pictures of. Hopefully he'll get the chance to photograph them next time.

How many DIsney snowglobes in your collection.

Well, 12 people voted in my first poll which is much better then the 0 response I actually expected. All 12 collect only Disney snowglobes.
The poll starting today is How many do you have? The poll box has been moved down a little further on the page. If you don't know exactly how many you have, thats ok, I don't know how many I have either. Just guess.

Disneyland Paris Report part 3

Part 3 of the Disneyland Paris Report. Thanks to Maurice once again for providing pictures and pricing information.

This Pirates snowglobe feature Mickey, Donald and Goofy has a jewel that lights up. I have seen it at Walt Disney World but not since sometime before I started this blog last year. It costs 19.90 euros in Paris.
This Pirates snowglobe with the helmsman skeleton has been available on DisneyShopping.com.
I've never seen this Minnie snowglobe before so it is probably exclusive to Disneyland Paris. It costs 16.90 euros.
The Disneyland Paris tumbler cup has the castle in the bottom and costs 7.90 euros.
Lady and the Tramp were first available in the Disney Catalog in 2005.
This Haunted Mansion snowglobe was in the Disney Catalog in 2004 for $78. I've seen it sell as high as $162 on ebay and is apparently still available if you have access to Disneyland Paris. It costs 75 euros.
This villians snowglobe is a fast seller in the American parks. It costs 90 euros.
Tomorrow will be the 4th and final installment of the Disneyland Paris report. While your waiting click on the Mouskavision pictures to enjoy Tokyo Disnyland's new parade.

Three New Mickey Mouse Snowglobes

The following appeared on DisneyShopping.com today. Two we sneak peeked but the other we haven't seen before. There is more to the Paris report but it will have to wait until tomorrow for part 3.
Mickey's 80th birthday globe is revealed to be a limited edition of 1200.
The graduation globe turns out to be a snowglobe that can be personalized. Neat. The Fishing snowglobe is nice but would have been better if they had put Nemo characters in the globe. It also can be personalized.

Disneyland Paris part two

Part two of our first Disneyland Paris Snowglobe Report. Thanks to Maurice for pictures and pricing information.

This picture frame costs 26.90 euros.

This has to be one of the best selling Disney snowglobes of all time. It's been available just about everywhere since 2002. It costs 75 euros in Disneyland Paris.

Never seen this Jungle Book snowglobe before so all I know is that it cost 75 euros and is at Disneyland Paris.

This globe appeared in various theme parks during Disneyland's 50th Birthday Celebration. There is also a version where the title plaque reads The Princess Club. 11 inches high, it costs 75 euros. This snowglobe was originally available in the Disney Catalog back in 2003 for 78 dollars. It should have a Jiminy Cricket finial. Cost: 75 euros.

The Parade float snowglobes cost 95 euros each.

Current Disneyland Paris snowglobes

The beginning of our first full Disneyland Paris report. Many thanks to Maurice Negenman for the pictures and pricing information.

This globe shows Sorceror Mickey conjuring Disneyland Paris including the earful tower from the new Studios park. It is approx 5 inches high, has glitter in the globe and costs 19.90 euros.
These three cost 4.90 euros each. Appears to be part of a vehicle series.
Eeyore and Gopher is approximately 4" high. My ebay information has it listed as a Disney Store globe that originally sold for 16.50. In Paris it sells for 16.90 euros.
This one used to be available in the Disney Catalog back in 2003 for 58 dollars. It is 6 1/2" high and plays "zip-a-dee-doo-dah".

More tomorrow.

Studios Visit and Paris Preview

I visited the Disney-Hollywood Studios today and saw the Pixar Block Party Bash Parade for the first time. Wow! I can't wait to see it again! A hundred times better then the motorcade it replaced. I'll be posting pictures of it on my photo blog over the next several days. Most of the photo's are of the Monsters Inc section since that where I was when the parade stopped for the party. There were no new snowglobes to report.
I returned home to find the first Disneyland Paris report from Maurice. He took pictures of 28 snowglobes on his recent trip and could have taken more. There seems to be quite a bit more crossover then I thought, as many of the globes are ones that have been available here in the US in previous years.
It will take me some time to compare Maurice's pictures to the ones I have on file. Look for his pictures over the next 2 or 3 days.

Disney Snowglobes - DisneyShopping.com

This Stitch snowglobe and Cinderella cup are now available on DisneyShopping.com.
Disney must see Mother's Day as a good chance to get rid of some old snowglobe inventory, the following snowglobes are once again available on DisneyShopping.com.
The ornaments say they will ship in 22 weeks but I'm guessing thats a mistake since these are older globes and are on sale. Still, if you are ordering, you might want to check with them first.

Mickey. The Cat's Meow.

Mickey looks like a cat from this view. Is he made that way or does it just look that way because they made the figurine with the 3 dimensional style ears. What is the Magic Kingdom Collection? Is this part of a series? Where does this globe come from? If anyone has any information, please let me know.

My recent purchase

A bad picture of 3 very nice Disney snowglobes. I recently purchased these three from a collector wanting to downsize their collection because like the rest of us they are out of room. They didn't want to sell them on ebay because they felt they would have to practically give them away. I tried assuring them that would not be the case with these three but was ignored. I paid $140 for all three and I think I got a good deal.
On the bottom of the Mickey Mouse Club is a space for an on/off switch that is not there. The actual on/off switch is on the side of one of the scenes. I only mention it so if you buy one second hand you dont freak out and think the on/off switch is missing. Like I did.
And in case your wondering that thing in the back right of the picture is a cookie jar.

Mickey Mouse 80th Anniversary Snowglobe

Remember that Mickey Mouse 80th anniversary snowglobe that had appeared on the Disney Store UK site for less then a day? It's back and this time they are selling #'s 11-50. The above picture was sent as a sneak peek for the US site so I guess it will be available here before too long.
The following 3 pictures were also sent as sneak peeks. The Three Little Pigs are celebrating their 75 th this year and the Stitch globe I've seen on ebay before so I assume it is another recreation.

Figment snowglobe

This Figment snowglobe is currently available at Epcot once again.
